Day 6

Parker started school today for the first time ever. It was emotional for both of us. Mostly I was crying (after I dropped him off) and Parker kept asking to come back once I picked him up. But here are a few of the pictures I took that morning. His lunch box and backpack are essentially the same size which is about my favorite thing ever.

Parker standing in the parking lot wondering why I keep taking pictures and won't actually go in to the school. Momma just needs a minute, okay?

He immediately started playing with the toys they had set out for him so that was good. Until I said goodbye and left and heard him burst into tears about a minute later.

But then this is just seconds after they put Parker in the van and I pulled out of the carpool line to buckle him in where he kept saying, "Come back?". I spent the next fifteen minutes asking him what he did at school and this is what I got in return:

"Come back?" at least 45 times
"I kicked the ball" No context. There was a ball and he kicked it. Apparently.
"Milk" and "Juice"

It was kind of like being a part of a verbal abstract painting...you know that in some way all the parts make sense, at least to somebody, but you just can't quite get to that conclusion yourself. But it was still completely awesome.
